Music & Choir

Within the curriculum students are involved in music-making activities, and music lessons on a range of instruments are available as extra-curricular lessons via local music teachers after school. Please contact Mandy Bennett for more information. 

Jan Aiello teaches music at our kura every Tuesday, working with different hubs throughout the day.  Jan has a foci on beat and rhythm using dance and movement, stories, rhymes and games. The tamariki(children) have an opportunity to use untuned percussion instruments, as well as being introduced to tuned instruments like the Marimba.
