Congratulations to Oscar Hadley for winning the 10 year old boys race today at the New Plymouth Cross Country Champs. Oscar along with Isla Russell (11th 10 yr girl), Lucy Atkinson (7th 11 yr girl), and Harry Clegg (4th 11 yr boys) will be going to the Taranaki Cross Country Champs 24th September. Well done.
Our Netball A team played St John Bosco in the Division 2 final on Thursday. The final score was 25-3 to Frankley. History has been made winners of the Maree Leach Trophy.
Today Cameron Morris from Universal Trade flew down from Auckland to present Frankley School with a second prize cheque for $2,000.00. Thank you to families and friends that voted online for us. We will be using the money to purchase sport equipment.
Our next sports exchange is 06 June at Puketapu School (away), followed by St Josephs New Plymouth on June 19 (away). We will take our football, 2 netball, and rugby teams along. Games will start at 1:00pm.
Today we played in the in NP Rippa Rugby tournament at Sanders Park, results 25-25 draw St Joes NP, 30-25 win against Bell Block, 30-35 loss against Oakura, 35-25 loss against Mangorei. We managed to make the quarter finals and played West End. Full time was 30-30 draw. We played golden point extra time and lost 35-30. Thanks to parents that came and supported us. Congratulations to the team.
Wow thanks to Brad Weber, Matt Symons and Ben Tameifuna from the Chiefs, for visiting Frankley School today. We were very excited. All the best against the Blues tomorrow night.
