The school social and fundraising committee supports our school to raise funds to enable us to fund learning and teaching resources for our school: library books, maintenance and care of our school community pool, and resources for digital technology are some examples. This committee meets every month making a positive difference for our children and community. The vision is to bring our people together.
The Frankley School Social and Fundraising Committee exists primarily to bring our Frankley whānau together and to co-ordinate fundraising activities that benefit the children.
Each year we work to raise money to help Frankley School to provide a fantastic learning environment for our children.
While called a committee, it is not a stuffy, formal organisation. To be involved does not require you to take up an official post or even attend every meeting. We would like to think that people can come along and offer their ideas and support whenever we meet. It would be great to have more parents support us and help share the load. Attending the meetings helps you to connect with parents and some of the staff, within the school community. Parents are always updated on what is happening in and around the school.
By helping us you are helping keep Frankley a fantastic place for your children. Please feel welcome to come along to a meeting and become involved. We would love new creative ideas to bring our community together.
If you would like to be involved, email admin@frankley.school.nz and put “SFRC” in the subject line.
Here are some examples of things we have fundraised for our tamariki in the past:
Our fundraising activities are a lot of fun too!
